Does anyone want the opinions of a historian and author on the Israel Palestine Conflict?
Probably not.
Tough, you're getting it anyway.
The next morning, the Frenchman was tied to a stake and the fire lit. The Englishman was tied to a stake and the fire lit. Before they could tie down the Israeli, he whipped out an Uzi and wiped out the tribe. When the Israeli saved the other two, they asked, "Why didn't you do that when this started?"
The Israeli answered, "I wouldn't want to be accused of instigating anything."

Now, true, I have never been a fan of the Palestinians, ever since they were called Philistines and needed to be removed by a guy with a slingshot. Yes, I've heard conflicting reports on that, so we can have that argument in the comments.
But I would like to focus on the last 120 years, give or take a decade. Because that's when they've gotten worse on a strictly cultural level. And by "they," we can say "the Palestinians,"** or just large parts of the Middle East.
And if you don't believe me, look up a guy called Hajj Amin Al-Husseini, also known as the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.
History knows him as Hitler's Mufti. You'd think that it would be hard for a Muslim to be a fan of Hitler's, but Al-Husseini was special in so many different, horrible ways.
Al-Husseini rose to prominence in the 1920s, where he led multiple street riots against every Jew in the area we now refer to as Israel. The British--in charge of the area for a decade or two-- decided, "Well, this chap can sway large groups of people. Let's make him Grand Mufti!"
If you ever wondered how they lost an Empire, I give you Exhibit A.
Anyway, Al-Husseini saw the rise of Hitler, became a fan of said Austrian painter, and the mufti even became best buddies with a guy named Eichmann. He was the Islamic version of Tokyo Rose, going on the radio to recruit Bosnian Muslims to join SS units. They were called the "Hanjar" or Sword Units.
Yes. If you thought the 90s was peak Bosnia, try again.
Funny enough, Al-Husseini was a better "Aryan" than Hitler was, having blond hair and blue eyes.***
During World War II, when Eichmann deliberated on how to get Jews out of Germany, it was genuinely a debate. Eichmann was in discussions with militant Zionists (I forget if it was Haganah or Irgun) to deport German Jews to what is now modern day Israel.
Al-Husseini pushed Eichmann for the plan that he was partial to: total genocide.
After the war, Al-Husseini fled to France, was promptly NEVER prosecuted for war crimes (He could be useful, they reasoned) then went to Egypt, along with multiple of his German-speaking friends.
Does anyone wonder how Gaza and the West Bank came to be? Funny thing about that. In 1948, when the state of Israel was established, every Muslim resident of the former protectorate of Palestine was told to evacuate. That was to make it easier for the surrounding Islamic states to "Push the Jews back into the sea." When that didn't work, the evacuees were shunted into refugee camps and left to rot. Who's bright idea was that?
If you guessed "The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Al-Husseini," you'd be on the money. Conveniently, everyone in the Middle East seemed to have forgotten this part, and replaced it with a narrative of how evil Jews drove them out of their homes ... as opposed to occupying territory abandoned for the first war of "Everybody against Israel."
Aside from this, Al-Husseini still has echoes in the Middle East. One of his followers in Iraq had a very nasty nephew named Saddam.
One of Al-Husseini's relatives was Mohammed Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini.
Most people just called him Yasser Arafat.
So why this long historical tangent? Because Al-Husseini is still there in one way or another. The Baathists of Syria were based off of Nazis. The number one bestseller in Palestine is a translation of Mein Kampf. Just because it's a bastardization of Nazis, Islam, and whatever Soviet influence there was does not make it any less abhorrent.
On top of all this, if the Middle East is so concerned about Gaza and Palestinians, why haven't other countries taken them in? Easy: no one wants them. They're at the bottom rung of the socio-cultural food chain. If one listens to interviews with the King of Jordan, one can hear him distinguish between
Jordan's Palestinians and those in Gaza and West Bank. But the Palestinians make great cannon fodder.
[Historian hat off. Analyst on]
A lot of people I've read in military warfare have often said that "The Enemy sets the rules." And while Baen author Col Tom Kratman can and will quote you chapter and verse on the rules of war (seriously, follow him on social media, read his books) he will also note that a rules violation is a quick path to the graveyard. Traditional rules of warfare dictate the use of uniformed troops--everything else is an illegal combatant or spy, and can be shot in a field execution.
The Palestinians are operating on a playbook that led to the creation of the Hague because of how vile the playbook was. So watching communists and "anti-fascists" in America cheer on Palestinians as they cry "Gas the Jews" is humorous in a particularly dark way.
What do I suggest the Israelis do? Tell the "international community" to screw off, carpet bomb Gaza until it surrenders, try their leaders and do to them what we should have done to their grandparents in the SS units.
Then Israel should ask Syria and Hezbollah if they want some of the same.
"But what about the civilians?"
The ones who voted Hamas to power for nearly 20 years? They should stay far away from men with automatic weapons, lest they share their fate. But I'm not that concerned. We are well aware that Palestinian Jihadis will use their own children as propaganda props, no matter who killed them.
"What about Palestinian Christians!" They should move. They should have moved 20 years ago when Israel pulled out. But no one listens to me.
"What about the children?" Ask the Palestinians, they strap bombs to their own children.
"You should be nicer! You're Catholic!"
1) Screw you, you haven't been paying attention.
2) This has been 75 years of warfare because every time Israel gets the upper hand, the UN steps in and goes, "Naw, you can't have a victory. You need to talk it out." The "conflict" only continues because Israel isn't allowed to win. (See the UN's timing in the Six Day and Yom Kippur Wars. Israel wins "too much," the UN calls for a cease fire. But if it looks like Israel is about to be wiped out, there "must" be a cease fire.)
No more talking. Israel should do to Gaza what was done to Nazi Germany.
Anyway, that's my two cents. We'll see if anyone listens.
**"Palestinians" is a bit of a misnomer, given that the protectorate or Mandate of Palestine was a British invention after World War I. But it's in such commonplace usage that it's just easier.
*** "Aryan" as used by hitler and "Aryan" as used by sane people with a knowledge of history are two different things.
