Small confession, I have not yet seen the movie. However I have watched podcast interviews hosted by Ryan Shaw, which really dealt with the issue of how factual the movie is in his interview with Jim Caviezel. Jordan Peterson who interviewed both, and Tim Pool’s interview of Tim Ballard and the movie director, Alejandro Monteverde where one of Tim’s co-hosts named Ian Crossland asked Tim and Allejandro the question of someone being redeemed after such heinous crimes.

I can’t recommend people watching those podcasts enough, especially if you are in any sort of debate over the movie.

I may speak a little about my book…because the real life issue of child sex trafficking is brought up in my sci-fi series and arguably makes my series something people may enjoy if they enjoyed the bio adaptation movie of Tim Ballard.

However, I want no competition against the Jim Caviezel movie whatsoever.

Seriously if you have the choice to buy my book, or take yourself or family to see the movie…take the movie. My book will be around to enjoy later and hopefully soon the next two in the series will be published.

And it won’t hurt my feelings if I am trying to keep up with publishing books as fast as sequels to Sound of Freedom come out.

The undeniable truth is that there are some crimes even God does not forgive nor forget to say “Begone I never knew you.”

If there is any category of evil that should carry the term, “satanic” it would be on the subject confronted by The Sound of Freedom. But it is a category that has a lot of room for more than just one act in it.

Evil says, “We are coming for your children.”

Good says, “God’s Children are not for sale.”

It requires an irrational mind to argue “Murder isn’t wrong… unless God is doing it.” But I have been there recently. In fact this country has and likely blinked and missed the case made by satanists arguing limits on abortion interfere with practice of their religion.

That that sink in just a minute who's on your side if you support abortion, conditional or unconditional.

"The bible is false there is no evidence of a great flood!

The ice caps are melting! We have to pay more taxes and buy green cars or we will all drown!"

"The bible is false there there is no talking snakes and donkeys! The big bang created everything from nothing and after billions of years earth was made and then life created itself from a rock and after billions of years mutated from goo to you and your ancestors are plants and apes and other animals!"

" You don’t understand evolution and think God is your answer! Just get the magic shot approved by the government and you will never be sick!"

“God will never force me to do something I don’t agree with!”

Humanity is the only species capable of exercising moral judgment. And somehow it has escaped our conscience that there are immediate penalties for exercising bad judgment.

That it may be better to chop off your hand if you steal. That it may even be better to gouge out your own eye if your eye causes you to sin. But to rape innocence? Jesus Himself said would be better to tie a millstone around your neck and be dropped in the sea for just causing a child to sin.

We can look at ancient history through the best kept record of it in the Bible and see on occasion there has been regimes of tyranny… and of evil that were confronted by Good. And in the cases of most extreme, some remnant of what was left that was Good managed to survive.

I don’t know who is being suckered into the silly argument presented by atheists that if God was Good He would stop evil.

Especially when the same argumentative evil person will frame God as being evil for the actions He has made in history that stopped evil.

Couple of small details to note concerning the bible.

There is a day of reckoning for people who commit their crimes. It is inescapable, even if you are stealing more time with lies to hide your guilt. You are just a dead man walking. And it requires an irrational and totally absurd mind to think that good people will wind up experiencing the same eternity with humanity’s worst examples.

But on that day, you do not want to be caught standing with liars, cowards, and hypocrites.

Trust me, God does not want that for anyone and has done everything to give you a path to redemption to the point of sending His own beloved Son to die in our place of judgment.

One of the countless things that amazes me about the life Jesus had on this earth was even after the way mindless, thoughtless, liars and cowards and hypocrites treated Him…He still wanted them to find that path and allow Him to save them when there was precious few around Him that welcomed Him and treated Him with any level of decency.

Especially since there has never been a more important dignitary that ever sat foot on this planet.
